Scholarship Opportunities

Youth Leadership Exchange offers two scholarships to a graduating senior YLX alumni each year, the Mary L Walsh Scholarship and the Leadership OKC Class XII Investment Club Scholarship.

These awards recognize YLX students graduating after the current school year, who have demonstrated devotion and commitment to community service, as well as shown personal leadership to their peers and their communities and a passion to continue doing so.

2024 APPLICATION DEADLINE: MARCH 15, 2024

Mary L. Walsh Scholarship

This $2,500 scholarship is given in honor of the YLX Program Director from 1999 to 2014, who truly wrote the history of YLX and gave it a solid foundation to continue building on.

Leadership OKC Class XII Investment Club Scholarship

Beginning in 2020, LOKC's Signature Class XII formed the Class XII Investment Club. Members of this group believe in the development and education of young leaders and want to contribute to their future goals with this $2,500 scholarship.

Submit Student References

Submit your recommendation for the student to receive one of the mentioned scholarships.

Recipient must have a minimum GPA of 3.25 (un-weighted) with plans to attend an accredited college or university in the United States in the subsequent academic year.

Each $2500 scholarship will be paid in two installments of the recipient's first year of higher education: $1250 per fall semester and $1250 per spring semester, paid directly to the recipient's college or university upon receipt of a verification of enrollment in a minimum of nine credit hours for each semester during the recipient’s Freshman year.
