Leadership & Networking Opportunities

Help your new and emerging executives and senior managers get connected to our community by signing them up for OKConnect, a special partnership program between Leadership Oklahoma City and the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber.

Oklahoma City is a thriving and evolving community, and this exclusive orientation program features presentations on the past, present and future of Oklahoma City. Participants will get a behind-the-scenes look at the city's history and government, as well as gain background on key initiatives and organizations.

Participants will learn how to engage in the community, have the opportunity to network with business leaders and have fun.

If you have questions or would like more information, contact Cynthia Reid, the Chamber's senior vice president of marketing and communications, at 405-297-8942 or email at creid@okcchamber.com.

The Young Nonprofit Professionals Network

The Young Nonprofit Professionals Network

The Young Nonprofit Professionals Network of Oklahoma City, Inc. (YNPN of OKC) is one of the fastest-growing YNPN chapters in North America. YNPN strives to be a nationwide movement activating emerging leaders to advance a diverse and powerful social sector.

Our chapter’s first event was held on March 4, 2013. Since then, our reach has grown exponentially. In September 2014, we launched our membership program with yearly dues of $25 to help us improve and expand our programming. We have no staff and rely on a board of directors and dedicated committee volunteers to manage our organization and serve our members. YNPN of OKC is tax-exempt under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code and donations are tax-deductible.

You do not need to be “young” to take part in YNPN of OKC, but programming is geared towards professionals with less than eight years’ experience in nonprofit organizations. Recent graduates, adult students, nonprofit board members, nonprofit consultants, anyone considering a career change – you are all welcome! Some of our events are members-only and others welcome visitors for a small fee.

Have questions? Want to collaborate on a project or event? Want a YNPN representative to speak to your class or organization about being a new professional in the local nonprofit sector? Contact us at info@ynpnofokc.org and a board member will get back to you promptly.
