We are thrilled to announce that Ally Glavas is the 2021 Paragon Award recipient.

The Paragon Award is one of Leadership Oklahoma City’s top honors. It is used to recognize a member who has performed exceptional volunteer service for a nonprofit agency in the Oklahoma City area. This year’s recipient is Ally Glavas, LOYAL Class XIII, for her work with the Girl Scouts Western Oklahoma.

Ally is recognized as one of the Girl Scouts’ most outstanding volunteers because of the many ways she has chosen to serve the organization. In a decade of dedication, she has sat on the board, been a member of the capital campaign committee, selected recipients for the Gold Award, participated in the fund development committee, joined the Juliette Low Leadership Society and led the Girl Scouts Young Professionals. She expanded the “Earn Your Shopping Badge” event in conjunction with local retailers and raised more than $25,000 to endow a scholarship for Girl Scouts. She has also led the Cookies and Cocktails event to record-breaking performance in attendance and money raised. And she didn’t merely incrementally grow a popular event; she reimagined the experience during a public health crisis, providing creativity, fun and visibility for the facility that will define the organization for generations.

Girl Scouts Western Oklahoma’s mission is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place and Ally has certainly done just that! Leadership Oklahoma City is thrilled to announce her as the 2021 Paragon Award Recipient.
